ADIDAS SKATE: LA STORIES
LAUNCHING SNOOP DOGG AND MARK GONZALES’ LA INSPIRED CAPSULE
Snoop Dogg and Mark Gonzales, two polarizing personalities of LA anti-culture joined forces to share their collective memories of their great city during the golden era of skateboarding. Kamp worked with adidas Skate to create tools to capture and extend these stories.
We focused the story around two dynamic personalities of LA counter-culture coming together to share their collective memories of their great city during the golden era of skateboarding.
Campaign imagery positioned Snoop and Gonz as the odd couple as they traverse through a miniature Los Angeles. Based on the collective stories they share.
LA STORIES: ANIMATED SHORTS
We created a series of short animated videos narrated by the odd couple, illustrated by Gonz, covering notable characters, notorious happenings and legendary moments of the city they grew up in. A suite of 3 films brought the duo’s LA Stories to life with animated versions of Gonz’s iconic illustrations.

LA STORIES: DAY PARTY
To celebrate the collaboration we produced a private day party at the iconic and historic Los Angeles location of Randy’s Donuts. With attendance of 400+ influencers, media and retailers, we had a custom painted Snoop x Gonz 1970 Impala on display, an authentic lowrider show featuring eight cars from SelfMade LAX Lowrider club, a DJ set by Snoop x Gonz and custom-baked Snoop x Gonz donuts. The parking lot of LA’s famous Randy’s Donuts was host to the adidas Snoop x Gonz event. A fleet of lowriders, a DJ set by Snoop himself and the attendance of skates biggest names made for a memorable launch of the collection.
