adidas Originals: Sound Labs

adidas Originals looked to Kamp to create a campaign increasing awareness and conversation around the ZX Flux, a shoe lending itself to infinite design possibilities.

To find our solution we posed a single question to recording artist Big Sean: What would you do if you had infinite possibilities?

Big Sean imagined, and with adidas' help realized, the donation and construction of a cutting edge recording studio at Cass Tech High School, Sean's alma mater in his hometown of Detroit. The goal of the studio was to create opportunities for young, aspiring artists and foster creativity in the community.

The project was such a success, that it evolved into a 4 school program under the banner 'Sound Labs.'

The Detroit studio is now in its second year and has enabled countless collaborations and produced multiple original tracks from the students of Cass Tech.

The impact on the community has been massive. As a result, we have now opened Sound Labs in high schools in NYC and Chicago, with a fourth coming soon in LA.

Sound Labs has garnered support from other artists and influencers. Kamp, adidas and everyone involved has been ecstatic to have been able to bring something so meaningful to life and are excited to continue its progression.
